Quilting Fun!

I still co-teach a quilting class at the senior center in town. Last year this class was a beginner class. We have about a dozen ladies who have been participating. And you had better believe that they're good. We've got the basics down pretty good, and are making some really nice quilts. In fact, we are beginning to expand and challenging ourselves somewhat. We decided in addition to making our own projects that we would all make LOG CABIN squares and assemble them into a quilt to be auctioned off for the center. Some of the class have discovered that a 1/4 inch seam means different things to different folks. We have discovered that while the finished log cabin square should all measure the same, they don't. But since I said I'd assemble the quilt these adjustments will be my responsibility. I have a lot of practice in assembling my quilt squares that are not all the same measurements. This may be the first quilt that has 12 corners squares.

Tom,

Next time get Lady 1 to add the first four strips, Lady 2 to add the next four, Lady 3 to add ... by now you are getting the picture! Another one to cut strips, another one to press,

You probably don't need to know how I, and a group of friends, worked this out!

Thanks Judy, that sounds like it might be the answer. I'll give it a try, because they all want to participate in the qiilt.
