This is the "letter" that the Gnomes have left for the flower girls today. I have Kaaren to thank for this suggestion. I think it's perfect. Now I just have to wait until I can sneak over without being seen, and put it beside the Gnome door.
Keeping my fingers crossed that the Flower Sisters buy it.
Tom, would a "gnome cane" be too small to carve? If you can do one, perhaps you could leave it outside the gnome's house leaning against the wall. I think it would be kind os exciting for the girls to find something else that belonged to the gnomes, don't you?
Or maybe something intangible. Maybe bestow a little "gnome wish or prediction" upon the girls, something you already know is going to happen via their parents. Some little thing like "have fun at the park today" or "sorry you have to go to the dentists tomorrow".
Retired male. Next birthday will be 78. Spend most of my time carving and quilting. Retired early (51) from a major university; so I am gettin this retirement thing down real good. I talked myself into wood carving. My daughter talked me into making quilts.

What a brilliant idea! I love it :-)Oh I wish I could be a fly on the wall when the girls find the letter!
Brilliant is right! Acknowledges the lovely gift and lets the poor cat off the hook!
