Several months ago my daughter introduced me to the making of small quilts. Soon after that she got me involved with the Doll Quilt Swap group. I have now participated in two of these swaps. The doll quilt pictured was made by "Sawyers Nana", and sent to me as part of the current swap. This was a "secret swap", where I did not know who was making me a little quilt, until it arrived yesterday. Photos do so little in showing the beauty and techniques involved in these small quilts. This is an example of a small quilt made for a guy (me). And as you can see it is perfect. It is all hand quilted - "in the ditch" on the border, and "echoed " around the main tree in the center.
