Cheap-Skate

Some of my carver friends call me a cheap-skate for carving these small Santas. Now I will admit that my investment in carving wood is nill. Oh okay, no cost, since I pick up what some carvers carve off from a block of wood. But there is another reason for carving small. You have less wood to remove, so you finish the carving much faster. And that's good for one with an attention span as short as what I have. Oh, that's a dime.

You must have good eye sight or a really good magnifying glass.

I can't believe the size! I'm struggling with a 6 inch piece of wood and it's "fuzzy" and won't allow me to define the face. I hope your right that it's the wrong wood and knife.

BUT..my wood does have a face! I love him but the carvers of the world don't have to worry any..you won't be seeing a new master carver anytime soon! :-)

Wow this little carving is great! I like small projects too. My attention span is quite short. Or more likely I have lots more things in my queue.
