Sewing Baskets For The Male Quilter!

Since I am now teaching a quilting class at the local Senior Center I had to come up with a sewing basket/box in which to transport my equipage. A quick check of the local sewing stores and centers turned up nothing that was appropriate for the male quilter. Nor did the Internet. I had a choice, a paper bag, a plastic bag or empty one of my tool boxes and use it. I thought about the tool box, but a large red SNAP ON TOOLS sign some how didn't cut it either. Then I remembered some plastic fishing boxes that I had bought at the Plano Factory Outlet Shop in Plano Ill. The perfect answer to the problem.

I hate to be the one to bust your bubble, but lots of female quilters have taken to buying fishing boxes for quilting supplies, they work perfect and are a heck of a lot cheaper then the plastic containers that are sold for quilting!!! :)
I think we should call them unisex containers. lol

I wouldn't mind one of the fishing boxes for my sewing gear. Wait til the gals in your class see it. T

I have jewelry in my tackle box. ;o)

Line each section with glued down felt.

That's a great idea Tom. I have a similar box that I bought at a quilt shop but I think a tackle box would have been a lot cheaper. blessings, marlene

Hi, my sewing box is also a tool-box something similar to my hubby's.
