One of my carving goals this year is to carve more wizards and gnomes in scenes similar to this one. Any one willing to help me out with some suggestions?
I remember somewhere seeing a cartoon about gnomes... okay, maybe it was the smurfs! LOL Anyways... they took care of small animals... thinking it was the smurfs! LOL BUT... I degress from the picture in my head... what about a gnome helping out an animal of some sort? Umm... sadly can't be a cat - if I remember correctly gnomes do not do well with wild or tame felines. Or was it smurfs... can't wait to see your carvings :) Linda
Retired male. Next birthday will be 78. Spend most of my time carving and quilting. Retired early (51) from a major university; so I am gettin this retirement thing down real good. I talked myself into wood carving. My daughter talked me into making quilts.

I still like the idea of a wizard quartet/choir being directed by a wizard with a wand.....and maybe a whittlin' gnome sittin on a stump/toadstool?
I would like to see a girl gnome with a flower pot or by a flower pot.
