Stash Cabinet?

Several years ago I made this unit for a local Quilt Shop to use as a Fat Quarter display. The shop is going out of business and I'll get the unit back. It's a two piece unit. Do you think it would make a decent fabric stash cabinet? And some sort of work area?

It's great but I'd have to take out all the little spacers so I could stack by color, put some hooks on the side for rulers, screw a spool holder to the other side & maybe even turn it upside down on the floor and put a top on it so I could have full use of the table top.

I guess I've destroyed your beautiful hutch :-(

I love it and am totally jealous! It would be fabulous for all the fat quarters I buy! I think it will be perfect :-)

The only problem I have now is to find space for it. It's amazing how two people in a four bedroom house can't find space to put one more thing! But we've been here for almost 37 years.

Holee, you're just too practical!

I think it has a lot of potential but like you I would have trouble finding a spot for it - I would try awfully hard but I would have trouble nonetheless.

Holee and I have pretty much the same thoughts. Take out some of the spacers for bigger shelf area's.
Course if it was mine I would use it for my Crazy quilting.. Perfect to store all the fabrics, trims and establishments. Plus a desk top to work at...

Ahh DH and I are thinking if we move in March we're getting a 4 bedroom.. There's only 2 of us, but DH needs an office for computers I need my sewing room plus a room for the grandkids.
